Story

A couple who find their jovial taxi driver takes them on a remote, haunted road, revealing disturbing motives and his true intentions… Too bad. I’m sure there’s a good movie that could be carved out of Black Cab, but that remains to be seen. Perhaps in the hands of a better writer, editor and director, Black Taxi could be exciting enough to warrant a sequel. Atmospherically, the set designers did well with their heaps of moody/rainy darkness. Where the film falls apart is its unoriginality. You could see where the driver was headed from a mile away. There was also nothing new about the ghosts and there were too many unresolved issues for Black Cab to be considered complete. The general acting ranged from good to dull. As a former taxi driver, I watched this movie based on the description alone, without reading the reviews on IMDb. I should have next time.
