Peacoats are, without dispute, another cornerstone of every wardrobe. Part of Naval working uniforms for decades around the world, they hit at the hip, and offer plenty of protection from the elements via their dense wool bodies, large lapels, and trim fits. The body on this one is made from a long-staple yarn woven at a low density for a softer (and period correct) feel. The earlier peacoats were built from a coarser, scratchier wool.
